This was said when “old memories” were brought up between the two about how Jumblatt’s militia bombed the Beirut airport when Rumsfeld arrived as President Regan’s envoy during the Lebanese civil war.

When Jumblatt was in cairo for arafat’s funeral, he told a group of people around him that he came to “see for myself that he’s (arafat) dead.”
Jumblatt never ceases to surprise me. A good warlord he was!
