		<description>This is amazing. This sudden renaissance of the Egyptian labor movement will have its effect on the Egyptian political arena for sure.

However, I can't stop the conspiracy theorist in me from asking the trivial question: Why now? Forget about the Muslim Brotherhood; They never had this kind of political influence among labor unions, and for ideological reasons they aren't much in sync with the labor movement.

So is it yet another episode of the internal NDP race for political power? The role played by someone like Elsayyed Rashed in leashing the labor unions in the past can not be neglected, so is be backfiring now that he's out? 

In spite of all those suspicions I still believe that this young rebellious labor movement will add a lot to the opposition. They deserve all the support, and also a better understanding of what's going on behind the curtains.</description>
