I’ve uploaded to my flickr account some rare photos of the famous February 1986 Interior Ministry’s Central Security Forces conscripts mutiny. Mubarak had to call in the army to smash the uprising. It was the third time in modern Egyptian history that army tanks swarmed through the capital, after the 1952 coup and the 1977 Bread Intifada.

    I still remember that day, we were in school, and due to this intifada, we left early.
