A US soldier has pleaded guilty to aiding the rape and murder of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and the killing of her family.
Private Bryan Howard, 20, also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to obstruct justice by lying to his superior officers about the March 12, 2006, attack in Mahmoudiya, 32km south of Baghdad.
He could receive up to 15 years in prison.
Five soldiers with the 101st Airborne Division have been charged in the rape and killing of Abeer Qassim al-Janabi as well as the deaths of her parents and her younger sister.
