		<description>a friend of mine spoke to me yesterday about this article. He lived in Italy and met with Giorgio Agmben the writer of Homo Sacer: Sovereign Power and Bare Life. He said he is one of the most important contemporary philosophers in Europe nowadays. In fact, I liked Khaled Fahmy's interpretation of Agamben and his thought implication to the Egyptian case. I liked most his question "who defames Egypt?" is it the people who speak about the existence of this phenomena, or those who practice it and do torture, which I believe to be a foundational question that needs us all to put in the front in our pursuit to eliminate torture practices. .</description>
