The Public Transportation workers strike in Nasr City was suspended 4am today. No more details are available yet. I’m receiving news also that industrial action has begun this morning in el-Amiriya and Sawwah Stations, but I still don’t have details either.

I just came back now from Ramses Sq, where around 30 Underground Metro cashiers, supervisors and employees have started a sit-in this morning, over work conditions.

I’m gonna post more details later in the evening ya shabab, as I gotta run out now for a meeting…

I really like this. I really do. Local issues brought to the forefront. That’s what we need, more concern with what is happening in our own country as oppose to the constant focus on the countries surrounding us. Egyptian media should be about the egyptian people first and foremost and everything else should be secondary not the other way round. More about the average mohammed on the street. I encourage this style of reporting and hope to see more.
