I am now retired but I wii remember always my days as union activist with the Service Employees International Union and that we achieved what the state said we could not.
Numbers = solidarity = strength May Allah bless each of you as you go forward full of pride and dignity.

Congratulations to the Mahalla El-Kubra workers.

In spite of corrupt CEO and unions officials, you manage to keep workers rights.

It certainly inspires the working class world wide.

Have the fraternal greetings of your brazilian brothers and sisters workers from Conlutas (National Struggles Coordination).

Sao Paulo (Brazil), september 29th 2007

L'Egitto e il suo sciopero 2.0....

Ecco. Volevo solo dire che questo strano ed emozionante sciopero egiziano, portato avanti da 27.000 uomini, donne e pure bambini e raccontato su internet attraverso i blog, Twitter, le vignette di Latuff e tutto quello che vi può venire......

This is truly a GLORIOUS day! Long live the Egyptian workers! long live their true organizing efforts at the workplace! May this be the beginning of social and economic justice and the right to freely associate and organize INDEPENDENT trade unions in Egypt. OK - who and where is the next struggle for justice? Workers all over the world are ready to support and provide solidarity. Truly, a great day for all Egyptian workers and all of Egypt! Yet, lest we forget -- the road is still long and hard ahead and let us remain vigilant.
