The New Cairo-based state security prosecution ordered on Monday, March, 3rd, 2008, the detention of Khaled Hamza and 12 other Muslim Brotherhood (MB) members prolonged 15 days pending investigations. They have been arrested ahead of the Municipal elections scheduled to be held next April, 8th, 2008.

At dawn on Monday security forces arrested 65 members of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Sharqeya, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sohag, Gharbeya, Giza, Qena, and Menufiya, said a Brotherhood press statement.
The police official, speaking on customary condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media, confirmed Monday’s arrests.
