El-Badeel البديل

After doing some photography work for the paper, I’m joining the Egyptian left-leaning daily el-Badeel as a managing editor.. I’m honored I’ll be working with a team of friends, comrades and acquaintances who have been playing a heroic role in covering the industrial action, social resistance as well as exposing police torture and government corruption…

I’m sure the time devoted for my own blogging and photography will be affected, but I expect I’ll be increasingly using micro-blogging tools like Jaiku and delicious for activism updates… So please subscribe to the RSS feed of my accounts…

Well done Hossam. Goes to show that in life there is always time for everything for those who use their brains for thinking. There is time to play, time to fight and time to lead. As usual, I will toast your success with my brew - a large glass of my special wine, because the success of my friends is my success! Big hug and Shukrani for being there for me in our struggles for the liberation of humankind in form and spirit! The struggles of my Egyptian and Palestinian brothers and sisters is my struggle and the world needs to know the injustices perpetrated by the greedy lying evil ones disguised as democratic leadership whilst they slaughter children and old alike purely to feed their insatiable greed.

Mabrouk, ya Hossam. Make sure to emphasize digital. I love Egyptian newspapers, but I only respect Dostor because they have an increasingly quality site (they use Drupal). Make sure us Egyptophiles can admire you all from abroad!
