Have there been (or will there soon be) any attempts to develop a consensus as to what Kifaya is for - in other words, to develop and put forward a political agenda, even if stated in broad terms?

Mohamed,
Great comments and very reasonable questions. I don't have answers for you. Kifaya is well organized for being a loose, open entity but forward planning is not one of their strong suits. So expect more protests.

Give me some time on the other queries.

Josh, did you get a chance to ask anyone from Kefaya as to what they plan to do (or are doing) aside from demonstrating? They signed a petition once before for parliament I believe. Were did that go? Are they making any connections with the judges in any way? Are they getting involved with "democracy-building" NGOs? I mean, I'm not hearing anything about them except that they're demonstrating and getting arrested. I'm sure something is going on other than that, but I just can't find that info.

All I can say about the Triology and Mubarak's rule is: once a dictator always a dictator. Every time I hear Mubarak speak and tghe state-media justify his actions, I am reminded of Napoleon and squealer in the great Novel "Animal Farm". If you read Arabic check out the Arabic adapatation to animal farm on the site below.
