Samir Ragab out - confirmed

A source at state-owned paper al-Gomhouriyya reports that editor Samir Ragab, one of the regime’s most loyal toadies, has been sacked. No official confirmation yet…

    As Samir Ragab put it himself recently, “How is it that infants been able to throw mud at national icons? How have dwarves grown bold enough to challenge the giants who have a great history and are endowed with morals, principles and sound knowledge?”

    Where will we get our daily brown-nosing from now?

    So the guy who will be replacing Ragab is Mohamed Ali Ibrahim, the editor of… wait for it… the Egyptian Gazette, home of fine columns such as “Two (sic) cheers for democracy” and of course the classic “Red-handed.”

    The circle is closed, samir Ragab was the editor in cheif of the Egyptian Gazzette, some 20 years ago !

    Sorry to tell u guys, but Sameer Ragab will continue to write his dailies in the same place and space ‘Khotoot Fasila’ with his ‘Capsules’ every Thursday.

    The problem is not Samir Ragab, there are many many Samir Ragabs around, we are missing the point. The system encourages the creation of Samir ragab.

    There will be other Samir ragabs coming soon.

    I’m really gonna miss Samoura, the guy is a trademark now. I’m sure the one taking his place will do even better! Young spirits who want to excel and rise in the ladder of success.

    Thanks God , he is out. very happy to hear that one of the symbols of corruption left. I do Not know the new Guy “Abol-Hadeed” but, I am sure that anybody is much better than Mr. Ragab. he was just good in licking the a… of ….
    anyhow change is always something healthy.
