Remember Dahab?

Like most terrorist bombings, the Dahab attacks are already fading into the news cycle. But Michael Slackman has a nice article in the New York Times today, looking at the Bedouin communitiy from which the alleged attackers come, and why Islamic extremism has been spreading in Sinai. This is much more interesting than most of the hard-nosed but uninformative “analysis” pieces I’ve seen so far (which all seem to throw in a line about connections to Al Qaeda and the Mubarak government losing control of Sinai and leave it at that).
