Boomtime for knights in Lebanon

The Lebanese authorities, like every country, issue out statistics on various economic indicators. Below is the chart that shows the number of employment permits issued for various professions between 2003 and 2005. Click to get a bigger image and look at under “specialized professions,” where there is a category for “knight.” A holdover from the Crusades?

This is too funny! I am laughing out loud - and wondering whether I have ever crossed paths with one of Lebanon’s registered knights. I’m so glad you found (and posted!) this!

Wonderful. As many knights approved as concrete workers. If I only knew that this career path had been open to me, I would have made very different decisions as a youngster. Great find.

Is there a Masonic lodge somewhere in Lebanon? Or had Chirac given some Legion d’honneur to some Chevaliers from the elite class :-)

As a hard working Lebanese knight, I would like to make a couple of things clear:

1-Our profession is a very respectable one.

2-We are not sectarian. In Lebanon we have knights of every religion.

3-We have excellent relationships with other professional org. in the Arab world. For eg. we are pretty close to the Egyptian Belly Dancers Association.

    Best.

    FUNNY!!!

I didn’t see a source link though…it was probably an error in translation.
