Pundit wars

The latest installment in the Hitchens vs. Cole debacle: apparently Hitchens used, without permission, an email Cole wrote to the excellent Gulf listserv G2K. Read Cole's protest and Hitchens' piece on him. I don't know about the matter at hand -- whether Ahmedinejad said he wanted to destroy Israel or not, but Hitchens was unethical when he took the G2K email without asking Cole. I would also thing there are better things to write about than this. And make sure to read down the Cole posting for a quite impassioned call against war with Iran.

Considering Cole's daily output on his site, I really wonder if he ever sleeps...
